About the Fellowship

Presenting The Education Entrepreneur Fellowship.

The Mind Trust’s Education Entrepreneur Fellowship is a unique national initiative designed to develop and nurture innovative strategies for taking on our greatest challenges in education. The Fellowship provides an incubator in which talented education entrepreneurs develop, build and launch their break-the-mold education ventures. It provides Fellows vital funding as well as ongoing support. Fellows receive two years of salary, benefits, a travel and training stipend and the daily assistance of The Mind Trust.  With this support, Fellows work to transform education as we know it, bringing change, new hope and real opportunity to some of our nation’s most underserved children.

Please visit the Your Application page to learn how to apply for The Mind Trust’s Education Entrepreneur Fellowship.

On June 3, 2010, The Mind Trust hosted a Fellows Conversation moderated by our board member, Jane Pauley.  It was a great evening of thought provoking-discussion among the Fellows about how their entrepreneurial ventures are transforming education in Indianapolis. "Two-thirds of high school students say they were bored in class every day. 75% said the material wasn't interesting. 60% of students who have considered dropping out of high school said they don’t see the value in the work they’re being asked to do." Youth Music Exchange wants to change this.
