Innovation Network Schools

Innovation School Fellowship: The Innovation School Fellowship supports talented individuals and teams as they prepare to launch fully autonomous schools within Indianapolis Public Schools. To apply, click here.  For more information, please contact Amber Audrain.

Statements of Intent are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis.  However, all Statements of Intent must be received by January 8, 2017 for consideration in the fourth cohort of Innovation School Fellows.  Interested candidates are invited to submit a Statement of Intent.  After review, select candidates will be invited to submit a Full Application by February 5, 2017.

The Mind Trust will conduct initial interviews in late February 2017. Fellowships are awarded in close partnership with IPS after a final interview with a selection committee of distinguished local and national education leaders.

Educator Empowerment Awards:  These awards provide existing successful schools in IPS the opportunity and resources to convert their schools into Innovation Network Schools in collaboration with IPS and The Mind Trust.

Existing IPS schools can download the application here.  Please submit your completed application to Brandon Brown, Senior Vice President of Education Innovation, by August 21, 2016. Select applicants will be invited to begin the interview process during the last week of August 2016.

Charter Schools

Charter School Fellowship: Talented individuals and teams seeking to develop or replicate charter models, outside of a partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), should apply to the Charter School Fellowship. Our application is not open yet, but please contact Amber Audrain if you are interested in applying when the application is live.

Charter School Design Challenge: Through the Design Challenge, The Mind Trust seeks to create the next wave of innovative, never-before-seen charter schools in Indianapolis.  Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.  To apply, click here.  For more information, please contact Amber Audrain.

Education Nonprofits

Education Entrepreneur Fellowship:  Innovators interested in applying may do so on a timeline that best suits their readiness.  Statement of Intents are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, with select candidates invited to complete a Full Application.
