The Mind Trust will use its Venture Fund to recruit the nation's premier entrepreneurial education organizations with proven track records of extraordinary accomplishment. The Mind Trust staff is reaching out to innovators who are producing substantial learning gains for students or helping students finish high school and succeed in college.  The Venture Fund is a key tool The Mind Trust uses to help those organizations expand to Indianapolis the work they are already doing elsewhere.

The Mind Trust is focused on replicating existing organizations in Indianapolis for several reasons.  First, these organizations have proven successful time and time again in other cities.  With their exceptional track records, it is highly likely their programs will also be successful in Indianapolis.  Second, we can leverage the resources that these organizations have already invested in the development of their programs.  These national organizations have dedicated millions of dollars and significant human capital to research and build their initiatives.  Indianapolis can capitalize on these investments by bringing these proven programs to our city.  Finally, these organizations are past the start-up phase and have worked out many kinks, which will ensure a highly successful launch in Indianapolis.
