Statewide
Indiana Learns
In the summer of 2022, the Indiana Department of Education partnered with The Mind Trust to manage the implementation of Indiana Learns, a statewide grant program supporting reading and math growth for eligible young Hoosiers.
Expanding What Works
Expanding What Works will award funding to a lead regional organization or entity, which will then partner with school corporations, public charter schools, non-public schools, and other regional partners to deploy a summer learning program aligned with the core design principles of Indy Summer Learning Labs.
Teach Indy
Teach Indy believes that teachers are essential leaders in their communities. As an Indianapolis-based nonprofit, we help elevate the teaching profession so that Marion County teachers and students can reach their fullest potential.
Teach Plus
Teach Plus was founded in 2007 to address the growing need for authentic teacher leadership to transform the nation’s schools and our education system.
Teacher Prep Programs
The Mind Trust has recruited three national nonprofit teacher training programs to Indianapolis to help recruit and prepare exceptional talent for our schools. Teach For America Indianapolis, TNTP’s Indianapolis Teaching Fellows, and Relay Graduate School of Education’s Teaching Residency have created critical teacher pipelines for Indianapolis schools.

The Indianapolis Talent Challenge
Like many cities across the country, Indianapolis is experiencing a teacher shortage, especially in Center Township. The Mind Trust is working to recruit, develop, recognize, and retain high-quality, diverse educator talent.
