The Innovation School Fellowship supports talented individuals and teams as they prepare to launch fully autonomous schools within Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS).
Statements of Intent are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Exact deadlines for the 2019 application cycle are not yet available, but Statements of Intent are usually due the first week of January for consideration in the sixth cohort of Innovation School Fellows. After review, select candidates will then be invited to submit a Full Application in early February. The Mind Trust will conduct initial interviews during the second half of February.
Fellowships are awarded in close partnership with IPS after a final interview with a selection committee of distinguished local and national education leaders.
Educator Empowerment Awards provide existing successful schools in IPS the opportunity and resources to convert their schools into Innovation Network Schools in collaboration with IPS and The Mind Trust.
Existing IPS schools can download the application.
