The Mind Trust’s board of directors has elected former Washington D.C. city council member and national education leader Kevin P. Chavous as its newest board member.

The Mind Trust today issued the following statement regarding the passing of Indianapolis radio pioneer and community leader Amos Brown:

The Mind Trust will host its seventh in a series of “Educational Bus Tours,” which highlight
high-performing public schools in Indianapolis for local parents, educators and community members next month.

The Mind Trust has received a $588,000 award from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to support Enroll Indy, a new nonprofit that will provide families with a central hub for information on public school options and how to enroll their child in one of those schools.
