The Mind Trust adds former NCAA executive to leadership team

Indianapolis – The Mind Trust today announced that Bill Regan, formerly director of academic & membership affairs at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), has joined The Mind Trust as senior vice president of planning and operations.

In this role, Regan will oversee The Mind Trust’s roadmap and aggressive timeline for launching more high-quality schools in the city and provide the requisite staffing, project management and organizational support to carry out these school growth efforts.

“Bill Regan has a diverse background in education and administration that will serve The Mind Trust well as we continue our mission to launch more innovative, high-quality schools in Indianapolis,” said David Harris, founder & CEO of The Mind Trust.

As the NCAA’s director of academic & membership affairs, Regan oversaw hiring, performance evaluation, business performance management and new hire onboarding.  He also oversaw his department’s goal-setting process and was responsible for achieving the goals of his division’s strategic plan, a role he also will assume with The Mind Trust.

Before joining the NCAA, Regan directed compliance and academic and student-athlete services as an assistant athletic director at Stony Brook University, the University of Houston, Northern Arizona University of and SUNY-Buffalo.  He also served as an assistant coach of men’s soccer at Canisius College and men’s and women’s soccer at SUNY-Buffalo.  Before working in sports administration, he worked as an attorney.

Regan holds a bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State College, a law degree from the University of Akron and a master’s degree in sports administration from Canisius College.
