The Mind Trust receives grant from The Glick Fund

INDIANAPOLIS—The Mind Trust today announced that it has received a $250,000 grant from The Glick Fund to support the growth of high-quality schools and education talent pipelines in Indianapolis.  The award makes The Glick Fund the latest of several Indianapolis-based philanthropies to support The Mind Trust’s work ensuring that every student in Indianapolis, regardless of circumstance, has access to an excellent education.

The gift demonstrates The Glick Fund’s contribution to The Mind Trust’s ongoing Grow Great Schools Campaign, which aims to raise $32 million by 2019 to aid efforts to double the number of students attending high-quality public schools within the boundaries of Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS).  The gift will be used to launch and assist high-quality public schools, recruit and develop top educational talent, and promote conditions that support school success in Indianapolis.

“The Mind Trust is grateful for the generous support of The Glick Fund,” says CEO and Founder David Harris.  “With this award, we are able to continue empowering the great school leaders who are working to transform the education landscape of Indianapolis.”

The Glick Fund works to make Central Indiana one of the best places in the nation to live, work, and raise a family by increasing educational opportunities, promoting arts and creative expression, supporting efforts toward self-sufficiency, and alleviating human suffering and helping those in need.

“The Glick Fund is proud to support The Mind Trust’s commitment to ensuring that every child in Indianapolis receives a great education,” says Glick Philanthropies chair Marianne Glick.

The Glick Fund is a fund of the Central Indiana Community Foundation, which leads initiatives to help make Central Indiana a better place now and for the future.
