Lauren Rush oversees The Mind Trust’s internal alignment around the Grow Great Schools Campaign, strategic development partnerships, and organizational operations; providing strategic leadership throughout the entire organization, and guiding development efforts.
Previously serving as the Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships, Lauren led development efforts for the organization to unprecedented success, garnering more than $25 million in funding to ensure quality public education for Indianapolis children. Before joining The Mind Trust, Lauren was chief operations officer of the Community Charter Network in Indianapolis, where she oversaw and managed operations for the local network of charter schools serving 1,200 students across Indianapolis.
She previously served in leadership roles with Teach For America (TFA) in Indianapolis, including service as managing director of teacher leadership development where she oversaw the teaching service of 150 first- and second-year corps members working in 30 Indianapolis schools, impacting more than 6,000 students.
Before returning to Indiana, she spent two years as TFA corps member teaching math at Anna Strong Middle School in Arkansas. After her time with TFA ended, she continued her teaching career at Anna Strong and later at KIPP Delta College Preparatory School, also in Arkansas. Rush holds a bachelor’s degree in Youth, Adult & Family Services from Purdue University and an MBA in education leadership from the University of Indianapolis.
