Manager of Community Engagement

As Manager of Community Engagement, Rogers will manage special projects and events for the engagement team and help develop and maintain relationships with schools and community organizations.

Rogers will plan community engagement events, help coordinate special projects and initiatives, work with community organizations to deepen The Mind Trust’s understanding of their priorities, and provide engagement support to the organization’s education Fellows. He will also spearhead The Mind Trust’s Neighborhood Education Advocate initiative, which will serve three targeted neighborhoods to develop relationships with neighbors, community organizations, business owners, and schools to deepen community understanding of education topics and identify and solve problems.

Rogers most recently served as Program Manager and Director of Volunteer Services for Indiana Black Expo, Inc., where he managed youth programs and strategic initiatives like the Performing Arts Academy, the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program, and the Annual Summer Celebration and Circle City Classic Fundraisers Program. He has also held previous roles in customer service and outreach for Brown Mackie College, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance, Indiana University Health, and Indiana State University.

Rogers holds a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Health Administration from Indiana State University and an MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. He volunteers with the Catch the Stars Foundation as a resource development committee board member.
