Michael Prihoda (he/him/his)
Manager of Communications
As Manager of Communications, Michael Prihoda supports the strategy, development, and implementation of The Mind Trust’s communications strategies. He also serves as one of our System Administrators for Salesforce and is a member of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
Previously, he worked at KIPP Indy College Prep as an 8th grade literacy teacher through Teach For America. In this capacity, he also helped develop curriculum resources and supported the school’s processes for retaining and recruiting new students. Prihoda frequently works as a freelance writer and editor and is a published author of poetry and fiction. In addition, he volunteers with the Indianapolis chapter of Stand Up for Racial Justice and is participating in Engage Mentoring’s Developing Leaders program.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University, a master’s degree from Marian University, and a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from University of South Florida. He lives in Avon, Indiana, with his wife, Jenna, a mini-bernedoodle named Kevin, two cats (Stinky and Newman), and two goldfish (Winston and Flanders).
