The Mind Trust launches third ‘Educational Bus Tour’ of innovative, high achieving public schools
INDIANAPOLIS – The Mind Trust will host its third in a series of “Educational Bus Tours,” which highlight
innovative and high-performing public schools in Indianapolis for local parents, educators and community
Each bus tour visits two public schools in Indianapolis and features a keynote speaker who will discuss
innovative ideas for Indianapolis public school classrooms. This month’s keynote speaker is Indianapolis
Public Schools board member Sam Odle.
WHEN: Wednesday, January 28, 8:30 a.m.- 12 noon
WHERE: Arlington Woods Elementary School (IPS #99), 5801 E. 30th St.; Tindley Collegiate Academy, 4020 Meadows Pkwy. (The tour will depart at 8:45 a.m. the Julia Carson Government Center,
300 E. Fall Creek Pkwy.)
The tours are co-sponsored the Indianapolis Public Schools, UNCF, 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, La
Plaza and the Expectations Project.
Previous bus tours last year highlighted the Center for Inquiry (IPS #27), Herron High School, Gambold
Preparatory Magnet School and Enlace Academy, and featured IPS Superintendent Dr. Lewis Freebee
and former Indianapolis mayor and The Mind Trust chairman Bart Peterson as keynote speakers.
