Avience Brown is the new principal of Victory College Prep’s upcoming campus. Since joining VCP in 2018, she has served as an 8th-grade English teacher, English Department Chair, and most recently, Assistant Principal of Humanities Instruction for grades 7–12. An alumna of DePauw University and Marian University, Avience is a 2023–26 Emerging Leaders Fellow with The Mind Trust and a recipient of the 2020 Black Excellence in Education Award. She is committed to fostering academic excellence and equity in Indianapolis schools.
