Jessica De La Cruz

Jessica De La Cruz is the Director of Multilingual Learning at Adelante Schools in Indianapolis. With over seven years of experience in education, she began her career at Indianapolis Metropolitan High School before joining Adelante in 2022. During her first year in the fellowship, Jessica partnered with the Latino Family Literacy Project to enhance family engagement through a 10-week reading initiative for multilingual learners. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Spanish from Indiana University–Bloomington, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marian University, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University. Jessica is also a consultant with MERCIndy, supporting inclusive education practices.
