Rebecca Greenberg-Ellis
Executive Director, Connecticut
Rebecca Greenberg-Ellis has been part of Connecticut’s charter school community since 2010, when she moved to New Haven from California. As Executive Director, Connecticut, she will lead The Mind Trust’s work to grow and support the state’s charter school sector through initiatives like the North Star Fellowship, school support investments, talent development, and advocacy alongside community partners.
Before joining The Mind Trust, she served for many years as Senior Education Program Officer at The Peter and Carmen Lucia Buck Foundation, where she led a K–12 education portfolio focused on supporting charter schools, strengthening talent pipelines, and advancing excellent education in Connecticut and New York City.
Previously, Rebecca was Senior Vice President of Growth at 50CAN, a national education advocacy organization, and held leadership roles in fundraising and strategy at the Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now.
Rebecca earned an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School and bachelor’s degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Studio Art from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Rebecca also serves on the Regional School District #4 Board of Education and lives in Connecticut with her family.
