Dr. Ricky Ganaishlal

As Manager of Operations for Summer Learning Labs, Dr. Ricky Ganaishlal leads operations, compliance, and performance monitoring across 62 partner sites serving thousands of students each summer. He owns fiscal accountability for the program including budgeting, vendor coordination, and reimbursement reconciliation, while reducing processing errors and turnaround time. He also builds partnerships across school leaders, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders.

As Assistant Center Director at Family Development Services, Dr. Ganaishlal helped implement the Head Start program’s early learning system. He supervised staff, managed licensing compliance and scheduling, and served as the senior point of contact for family and staff concerns.

Earlier, as Training Director at the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC), Dr. Ganaishlal built statewide training infrastructure for agency staff. He served as Communications Director, leading crisis communications during high-stakes incidents, and previously served as Re-Entry Monitor and Community Supervision Manager at Marion County Community Corrections, where he implemented the Indiana Risk Assessment System (IRAS) to improve supervision decisions.

Dr. Ganaishlal also spent nearly two decades in higher education in student affairs and instructional roles, directing large residential operations and advising senior leadership on crisis response, student conduct, policy development, and budget management.

He currently holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership from Marian University in Indianapolis, IN, a Master of Science in Elementary Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, with a second language in French and a minor in Women’s Studies — the latter two both from the State University of New York, College at Oswego.
