The Mind Trust has supported the launch of more than 50 schools since 2006 that collectively serve more than 12,000 students across the district and have offered unique options to Indianapolis families.
In 2015, Education Entrepreneur Fellow alumna Caitlin Hannon founded Enroll Indy to streamline the public school enrollment process in Indianapolis.
Enroll Indy works to give all families in Indianapolis access to a diverse set of charter and Indianapolis Public School options by providing a one-stop enrollment process, easy-to-understand information about every school, and data on school improvement initiatives.
Free and low-cost summer programs
Are you looking for a safe, fun summer program? Indy Summer Learning Labs is back for 2025 with more than 50 locations across Marion County! This five-week program includes daily math and reading instruction from licensed teachers, plus fun summer activities like arts, sports, field trips and more. Most sites are free to attend.

Go Farther Literacy Fund
The Go Farther Literacy Fund is a program from The Mind Trust to fund solutions to help build critical literacy skills for students in Center Township. Awarded funds range from $150 to $5,000 and can be awarded to individual families or nonprofit organizations. Our hope is that this initiative will help Center Township families go farther through the power of literacy!
Applications will open again for the sixth round of awards in fall 2025.
Advocate for education issues you care about
Together, we can do more. The Mind Trust believes change in our education system should be led with the people most affected: parents, families, and students.
