Leadership Institute for Latino Youth

School-Community Partnership Investment 2020

In an intensive summer program, the Leadership Institute for Latino Youth helps Latino students stay in school by giving them the tools they need to succeed in high school, college, and life.

  • Five-week program
  • Academic focus on English language and STEM skills
  • Preparation for college applications and financial aid
  • Exploring career options and possibilities
“This award from The Mind Trust will continue to support valuable services like our year-long Tu Futuro program. Tu Futuro supports Latino students, many who are first-generation, in applying to the college of their choice, preparing them for competitive scholarships, and saying yes to the career of their dreams.” Elizabeth Valencia, Education Specialist, La Plaza
