The Mind Trust, UNCF to host community conversation on ‘Parent Choice’ in public education

The Mind Trust and UNCF will host another in a series of “community conversations” designed to engage the local community in discussions around improving public education in Indianapolis. The topic of October’s panel discussion will be “Parent Choice” and will feature conversations with local leaders on the education choice landscape in Indianapolis and how families can navigate the sometimes complex system to access more educational opportunities.

Charter Schools Aren’t Innovative Enough, Says Report From Pro-Charter Group

Charter schools “by definition meant to be experimental and unbeholden to traditional ways of schooling” need to be more innovative. That’s the primary finding of a report released Tuesday by the Mind Trust, an Indianapolis-based pro-charter organization.
